A big hotel with all the amenities that a hotel of this category deserves. but also a little impersonal. the rooms facing the sea have a great view. the pool area is well kept, the beach section in front of the hotel is clean. very good breakfast buffet. we felt very comfortable.
It is probably a tradition in Mexico that in the breakfast room the TV in the pool area plays music all day long. But does it have to be so loud....

1) Even though their were waiters at the pool tending to other guests, no one ever approached our group to offer a beverage or anything to eat. There were 7 of us and the hotel could have made a good deal of money off of us. How disappointing for what is rated a 5 star hotel. 2) My daughter in law had her wallet stolen during breakfast in the restaurant and the lack of concern from the staff was surprising. No offer to help with phone call to her bank, no offer of assistance to file a complaint with the PGR authorities, no courtesies, however small, to make up for this horrendous event. Horrible lack of compassion and concern for a guest's well being. 3) I was with the US Embassy group and was promised a room with a balcony and the web site stated all rooms have balconies. I got room 1808 and there was no balcony and was told too bad, all rooms were sold out and nothing could be done about it. Again, a total lack of customer service and well being for guests. This is the second bad experience I have had in as many months with Camino Real in Mexico. The previous equally horrible experience was in Guanajuato and despite my comments no one ever contacted me. I plan to share with everyone I know in Mexico and all 2000+ employees at the embassy here that CR is a horrible chain to use. What a shame.

One of the best hotels in Veracruz. It's a nice spacious room. Everything you need (shampoos, gels - available). Promised bathrobes - was not (when booking - bathrobes were, as well as a coffee machine). Attentive and helpful person. But: very little who speaks and understands English!!! Good gym (small, but comfortable). Nourishing breakfasts: delicious fruits, cottage cheese, desserts, pancakes, eggs, drinks. The beach - a limited area of its own, but it walks all - sellers of different food, just relaxing. It's very dirty. It's nice to have kayaks nearby. The very entrance to the sea is sand, but you can never reach the "depth". It's not deep at all. On weekends, it's very noisy on the beach. The whole town is here, with different loud music from the loudspeakers. The hotel is far from the city center, in minutes 20-30.
There's not enough cleaning in the room. The carpet is dirty. Only the beds are made. The beach - I wish it was cleaner!!! And control by the guards on the beach is necessary. And also - teach the staff English!!! Money for the hotel is withdrawn in the Beer internal rate (for four days had to overpay $ 100), although at the time of booking was declared another amount.

The breakfast was excellent with good food. The pool was nice. The rooms were beautiful with a balcony. The staff was proactive. The location is perfectly situated near the local mall. I really enjoyed the breakfast here, it had tasty food. The pool was a great spot to relax. The rooms were lovely and had a balcony, and the staff constantly made sure things were in order. Plus, being so close to the local mall was super convenient.
